This post includes affiliate links. All images are courtesy of Kat Von D Beauty. All opinions are my own. See my Disclosure Policy for more information.

Please note that while I have not tried all of the products mentioned in this blog post, I do use Kat Von D Beauty products on a regular basis and am comfortable sharing gift ideas from this brand.

1. Farm Sanctuary Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – $20.00 [BUY]

The most exciting item on this list for me personally is the Farm Sanctuary line of lipsticks. Kat Von D released four new shades of its Everlasting Liquid Lipstick to benefit Farm Sanctuary, an organization committed to ending farm animal cruelty. My favorite is Julia, a peachy pink shade named for a sweet pig who was rescued from abuse at a factory farm. Not only are these lipsticks gorgeous, but 20% of the retail price goes to support Farm Sanctuary. Talk about an amazing gift that gives back!

2. Lock-It Mini Baking Duo – $23.00 [BUY]

If you have a friend who loves staying on top of beauty trends, this Baking Duo is the perfect gift! Baking is a makeup technique that became well known in the drag queen community and quickly made its way to everyday glam. This little set includes the Lock-It Concealer Cream and Lock-It Setting Powder – everything one needs to begin baking! Plus, I love that it comes in a box perfect for gifting.

3. Sinner Lipstick + Fragrance Travel Duo – $27.00 [BUY]

Kat Von D recently released the Saint and Sinner line, which includes the return of her beloved fragrances. My pick is the Sinner set, as the perfume has notes of patchouli, wood, and cinnamon. This kit also comes with a gorgeous Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the deep purple shade, Sinner. If you are looking to try the perfume at a discounted price, this kit is the way to go!

4. Everlasting Mini Liquid Lipstick Set – $49.00 [BUY]

If you’re having trouble picking out a shade of lipstick for a friend, grab this amazing gift set featuring eight different shades of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. The shades included are all neutrals that can be worn alone or mixed together to create even more colors. You can also break apart this gift set and give a few lipsticks to each of your friends!

5. Shade + Light Crème Contour Refillable Palette – $49.00 [BUY]

Kat Von D recently released a crème version of its famous Shade + Light Contour Palette. It contains three highlighter shades and three contour shades that can be mixed together to match any skin tone. I love that this palette is refillable, so you can stock up on the individual shades you use the most without having to purchase a brand new palette. This also makes an excellent gift for someone just getting into makeup, as it has everything you need to start contouring!

6. Saint + Sinner Eyeshadow Palette – $62.00 [BUY]

If you are looking to go big this holiday season, look no further than the Saint + Sinner Eyeshadow Palette! This limited edition palette contains 12 Saint shades and 12 Sinner shades that are inspired by the stained glass windows of gothic cathedrals. The palette even looks like a window! I think this is such a unique eyeshadow palette, and it will wow any recipient.

That wraps up my 2017 Gift Guide for Kat Von D Beauty! I hope this post helped inspire your holiday shopping, especially if you have a vegan beauty lover on your list. Happy Sunday! Today I am excited to share with you information for Zoya Nail Polish’s 2017 Black Friday sale. Zoya is my all-time favorite nail polish brand, and I absolutely love giving Zoya polishes and lipsticks during the holidays. This year Zoya has a fun sale promotion for what the brand is calling Black Friyay. This blog post will give you all of the details for the sale, as well as share my top vegan gift ideas from the brand this year.

Images in this blog post are courtesy of Zoya.

This year’s Black Friday sale from Zoya is 50% off your entire order plus free shipping! Use the coupon code FRIYAY at checkout to get this promotion. The sale is one day only on Friday, November 24, 2017. The sale is valid for both the United States and Canada, but international shipping fees apply for Canadian customers.

Last year I shared my Top 10 Zoya nail polishes on the blog, so I recommend checking out that post HERE to see which nail polishes I love. This year I thought it would be fun to share my Top 5 gift ideas from Zoya’s website, including lipstick and gift sets.

1. Zoya Polish Quad in Under the Mistletoe – $15.00 [BUY]

Zoya has a few gift sets available on its website, and I am particularly loving the Under the Mistletoe quad of nail polishes. This kit contains Zana, Caresse, Lauren, and Jill. The pink and mauve shades make this the perfect gift for someone with a professional job, as the shades are work appropriate. Plus, with the Black Friday sale this set will be just $7.50! What a steal!

2. Zoya Polish Quad in All Spruced Up – $15.00 [BUY]

I’m also loving the All Spruced Up quad, which contains the dark colors of Envy, Olivera, Giada, and Lidia. If you are shopping for someone who loves more deep and dramatic shades, this is a great gift. You can give this entire set to one person, or break it up for smaller stocking stuffer gifts!

3. Zoya Lips & Tips Quad in Sleigh Away – $20.00 [BUY]

Zoya also offers a few gift sets that include three nail polishes and a lipstick. My favorite of the bunch is Sleigh Away, which contains Mia, Daul, and Madeline, and the Wren lipstick. I think the colors in this kit will look beautiful with any skin tone, and I love that you get a light, medium, and dark polish.

4. Zoya Perfect Lipstick in Wren – $12.00 [BUY]

I also wanted to share my top two Perfect Lipsticks with you in this gift guide. My favorite is definitely Wren, a rosy pink shade. The Perfect Lipstick line is all vegan, and each lipstick is quite creamy and hydrating. Wren does have a cream formula, and wears very nicely.

5. Zoya Perfect Lipstick in Frankie – $12.00 [BUY]

My other top lipstick pick is Frankie, a bright red shade with a satin cream finish. Red lipsticks are absolutely perfect for the holiday season. Grab one for you, and a few for your friends! The $6.00 price tag on Black Friday is too good to resist!

That wraps up my 2017 Zoya Nail Polish Gift Guide! I hope you found this post helpful as you prepare for Black Friday. I would love to hear from you in the comments – what are your favorite Zoya products?! There are so many from which to choose!

Zoya Summer 2017 Lipsticks | Wanderlust Collection

Happy Monday! Today I am excited to share with you swatches and my review of the Zoya Lipsticks for summer 2017. Zoya released three lipstick shades to go along with the Wanderlust Collection, which celebrates summer adventures. If you would like to see my swatches of all twelve nail polishes in this line, visit THIS blog post. The three lipsticks are all in shades of pink, but the formulas are all different so there is most likely an option for you! Let me show you the vegan lipsticks from Zoya for summer 2017!

First up is Kitty, a shimmering pink lipstick with a frost formula. When I first saw Kitty, I was a bit disappointed, because I really do not like lipsticks with shimmer. I was completely surprised when I applied this shade and found that it looks great! Not only does Kitty’s pink shade look great with my skin tone, but the metallic effect doesn’t show up much on the lips. I’m really excited to add Kitty to my lipstick collection!

Next up is Kirby, a bright watermelon pink lipstick with a cream formula. Zoya describes Kirby as sheer, but I find it to be quite pigmented. This lipstick is brighter than I would choose to wear, but the formula is really nice, so if you like bold lipsticks Kirby is for you. It is so much fun for spring and summer!

Last but not least is Kay, a reddish pink lipstick with a sheer cream formula. Kay’s swatch looks quite bright, but when the lipstick is applied to the lips is balances out to a more wearable shade for me. I like that the sheer formula is a bit on the glossy side, which makes the lips look really hydrated. Of course, Zoya lipsticks have a very comfortable feel and wear nicely.

All in all, I think the three lipsticks Zoya released for the summer 2017 include a nice variety of pink shades. If you are looking for a fun shade for the warm weather, there is a Wanderlust Collection lipstick for you! Each Zoya lipstick retails for $12, and can be purchased on the brand’s website HERE. Be sure to let me know in the comments which Wanderlust lipstick is your favorite!

Zoya Charming Collection for Spring 2017 | Nail Polish & Lipstick Swatches

Happy Wednesday! Today I am excited to share with you the Zoya Charming Collection for Spring 2017. This collection contains six new nail polishes with fresh cream and dewy micro-sparkle formulas. Zoya also released a brand new Perfect Lipstick in the collection called Violette. This post will include swatches and a full review of the entire Charming Collection.

All of the swatches in this blog post were photographed in natural sunlight. I am wearing a base coat under each polish, but no top coat in any of the photos.

The Charming Collection begins with Jordan, a pastel pink polish with a cream formula. Jordan has a good formula, but as with many pastel polishes I did need three coats for full opacity. I am absolutely loving this pink shade! It looks great with my fair skin tone, but I think it will look beautiful with deeper complexions as well.

The next cream formula is Abby, a pastel purple shade. Abby has an excellent formula that applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats. This lavender purple shade has been a go-to of mine for many years now, and I’m excited to add Abby to my stash after getting rid of my old and non-vegan shades. I’m also loving how glossy this polish is with no top coat needed!

The last cream shade is Tina, what Zoya calls an amethyst purple. Tina also has a great formula that is opaque in two coats. While this is not a unique nail polish shade, it is definitely a nice polish for any time of year. If Abby was a bit too light for you, Tina is a darker option for sure.

Next up we have the three micro-sparkle polishes in the collection, starting with Millie, a violet shade. Millie also has a great formula that is opaque in two coats. I’m not a big fan of shimmery polishes, but I think the micro-sparkle options are just gorgeous! Millie has a lot of sparkle and dimension that shine bright in the sunlight.

Lacey is a light green micro-sparkle that reminds me of mermaids! This polish has a sheerer formula, and I applied three coats to get a full coverage look. Lacey is not my personal cup of tea, but the polish is still excellent quality and I definitely recommend it if you love the shade!

The last nail polish in the line is Amira, a light blue micro-sparkle. As with Lacey, Amira is on the sheer side and needs three coats for opacity. I think this blue polish is just gorgeous, and I like the green and purple accents with the sparkles in the polish. Amira would also work well in the winter, as the polish shade reminds me of the sparkling snow!

Finally, Zoya released a brand new Perfect Lipstick with the Charming Collection. Violette is an amethyst purple and has a cream finish. When I first saw Violette, I thought it would be too bright and look terrible on me. Imagine my surprise when this shade not only looked great with my complexion, but turned out to be quite wearable! Violette is still outside of my lipstick comfort zone, but I hope to wear it again very soon.

All in all, I’m really loving the Zoya Nail Polish Charming Collection for Spring 2017! I apologize for the delay in sharing my review, but I hope you enjoyed my post nonetheless. My favorites in the collection are Jordan and Abby, but all of the polishes and the lipstick are excellent quality. The Charming Collection is currently available for purchase on Zoya’s website HERE. Polishes are $10 each and lipsticks are $12 each, but keep an eye on Zoya’s social media for sales and coupons.

Zoya Naturel Lipsticks | Cameron, Paisley, & Maxwell

Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share a quick look at the three lipsticks that coordinate with Zoya’s newest Naturel Collection. This spring, Zoya released the Naturel 3 nail polish collection, which contains six neutral shades of polish (see my full review HERE). Along with the new nail polishes, Zoya is marketing three of its lipstick shades from the Perfect Lipstick line that coordinate well with the polishes. While I’ve already posted a full review of these lipsticks in THIS blog post, I thought it would be helpful to share a closer look at the three Naturel lipsticks in a dedicated post. Let me show you Cameron, Paisley, and Maxwell!

First up is Cameron, a light beige lipstick with a cream formula. Cameron has a great pigmentation for a lipstick that is so light in shade. It makes me look a bit washed out because of my very fair skin tone, but I otherwise really like how it wears. I can see this being an everyday color for many people! Plus, this lipstick shade is extremely trendy this spring.

My favorite of the three Naturel lipsticks is Paisley, a purple-toned mauve with a cream finish. Paisley does require about two coats for opacity on the lips, and it is a bit messier to apply. Otherwise, the shade is beyond gorgeous, and I can see myself reaching for this lipstick regularly.

Last but not least is Maxwell, a deep plum shade with fuchsia glitter that has a matte finish. Maxwell has a great formula, and it is surprisingly comfortable to wear despite containing glitter. However, it is one of my least favorite lipsticks in the collection simply because I don’t like wearing glittery lip colors. Maxwell is also a bit troublesome to remove, as the glitter gets all over the place without coming off my face. That being said, if glitter lipstick is your thing, Maxwell is a nice option.

I hope this quick roundup of the three Zoya Naturel Lipsticks was helpful if you are interested in purchasing them! All three have great formulas and are comfortable to wear. Plus, I love that they are vegan friendly! You can buy the Zoya Lipsticks on the brand’s website HERE for $12.00 each.

Zoya Perfect Lipstick | Swatches + Review of Full 12-Piece Collection

Happy Monday! Today I am excited to bring you swatches and a review of the complete Zoya Perfect Lipstick Collection. This line of 12 lipsticks is created with a hydrating formula designed to last 4-6 hours without drying or cracking. The Perfect Lipsticks are also vegan and environmentally friendly, and have a wide shade range to fit any skin tone. Let me share this lipstick collection and my thoughts on it with you!

The Perfect Lipstick Collection contains nine cream finishes, two mattes, and one frost. All of the lipsticks are unflavored and unscented.

First up is MatteVelvet Red, a cool-toned red with a matte finish. I am pleasantly surprised with how comfortable this lipstick is to wear. Even though it is matte, it feels very smooth and creamy on the lips. Plus, MatteVelvet Red is a classic red shade that I think is a staple in any lipstick collection.

Next up is Cameron, a light beige lipstick with a cream formula. Cameron has a great pigmentation for a lipstick that is so light in shade. It makes me look a bit washed out because of my very fair skin tone, but I otherwise really like how it wears. I can see this being an everyday color for many people!

One of my favorite lipsticks in the line is Paisley, a purple-toned mauve with a cream finish. Paisley does require about two coats for opacity on the lips, and it is a bit messier to apply. Otherwise, the shade is beyond gorgeous, and I can see myself reaching for this lipstick regularly.

If you’re looking for a red lipstick with a cream finish, Frankie is the pick for you! Frankie is a bright, true red, and it feels really comfortable to wear. It reminds me of my days as a competitive dancer when we were required to sport red lips at our performances. Whether you’re hitting the stage or simply running errands, Frankie is a stunning red!

Next up is Georgia, a bright berry shade with purple undertones. Georgia is a bit outside of my comfort zone, but it is a beautiful lipstick. It has a cream formula, and I do recommend about two coats for an opaque look. Georgia is a great shade to take you from winter to spring!

The next matte shade in the line is Maxwell, a deep plum shade with fuchsia glitter.

The other glittery shade in the collection is Brooke, a mauve shade with pearlized glitter. Brooke is more of a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. Unlike the other shades in the collection, this one is not pigmented at all, and it barely shows up on my lips. Brooke does have a cream formula, but I’m not a big fan of it because it just makes my lips look oddly glittery.

Wren is another favorite for me in the collection. This is a pinky-peach shade with a cream finish, and I think it’s another everyday shade. Wren is a lipstick that can be worn any season of the year, and it’s a great choice if you are just getting into makeup and hesitant to wear bright colors.

Next up is Candy, a blue-toned bright pink lipstick with a cream finish. Candy is a Barbie pink for sure. It is extremely pigmented, and I know this will be a spring and summer staple for many people. I’m usually hesitant to wear bright pink lipsticks, but I’m excited to have this in my collection for sure.

Mellie is a the next cream lipstick that is somewhere between a red and pink shade. I think Mellie is a very wearable color, and it also feels really hydrating and comfortable on the lips. Mellie is a great lipstick for any skin tone, and it is work appropriate as well. This is a must have for your lipstick stash!

The one frost formula in the collection is Belle, a blue-toned pink with a golden frost finish. I do not like frost lipsticks, so Belle is not the shade for me. However, Belle is nicely pigmented and is a pretty color for those of you who do enjoy frosts. It reminds me a bit of cotton candy!

Last but not least is Jasmine, a deep plum lipstick with a cream formula. Jasmine is absolutely beautiful and extremely pigmented. This shade is a bit outside of my comfort zone, but I think this is one of the best lipsticks in the collection. Jasmine feels so creamy and hydrating on the lips!

All in all, I think Zoya’s Perfect Lipstick Collection contains a great variety of shades and formulas. The majority of the line is well pigmented, and they all feel very comfortable to wear. My personal favorites are Paisley, Wren, and Mellie, but I recommend all of the shades except for Brooke. You can purchase the Zoya Perfect Lipstick Collection on the brand’s website HERE for $12 each. Make sure to follow Zoya on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for sale information and discount codes.

ELF Cosmetics Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade | Review & Swatches

Happy Monday! Today I have a review of a lip product I received as a free bonus item in my last ELF Cosmetics order (see everything I got HERE). I’ve never tried a lip product from ELF before, so I was really curious to see what the formula and quality of the Lucious Liquid Lipstick line is like. These lip products retail for the fabulous and affordable price of $1.00 each, so if the formula is good, I will definitely be purchasing some in the future. Let me share my thoughts and some swatches with all of you!

ELF Cosmetics Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade | Review & SwatchesThe Luscious Liquid Lipstick line is formulated to provide a rich pigmentation along with lip hydration. Each shade comes in twist up packaging with a sponge-like applicator. I’m not the biggest fan of the applicator on this lip product. While it makes applying the lip color quite easy, it also traps a lot of product. I need to twist up the bottom several times to get a good amount of product out of the tube. It’s not too much of a hassle, but something I thought is worth mentioning.

ELF Cosmetics Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade | Review & SwatchesI received the shade Pink Lemonade, which is a berry mauve shade with red and gold shimmer. While this is called a liquid lipstick, it is definitely more of a lip gloss. The product provides a nice pigmentation, but is definitely on the sheer side, and not opaque like a liquid lipstick. It also has a shiny formula that feels like a gloss. I really enjoy the feel of this product on the lips, but it is very helpful to know it is more of a gloss than a liquid lipstick. I also want to point out that the swatch of Pink Lemonade on ELF’s website is very different from the product in person. I recommend going to check out the products in-store before ordering online if you are looking for a particular shade.

ELF Cosmetics Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade | Review & SwatchesPink Lemonade definitely has a metallic sheen in person that was difficult to capture on camera. While I personally don’t like to wear shimmery lip colors, this is a really nice product. The texture is a bit sticky, but not in an uncomfortable way. Instead, it stays put on the lips and doesn’t slide around. The color is also quite long-lasting. I’m very impressed with the nice quality of this $1.00 lip product!

All in all, I’m so glad I got the opportunity to try Pink Lemonade from the ELF Cosmetics Lucious Liquid Lipstick line. I definitely think this is a great lip gloss to have in your stash if you are looking for something uber affordable. I will be checking out the other shades in the collection to see if there are any I enjoy. Please let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of ELF’s Luscious Liquid Lipsticks and your thoughts on them in the comments!

Zoya Hydrating Cream Lipstick Review & Swatches | Mellie & Candy

Happy Monday! Today I am completing my reviews for the Zoya summer releases with the new Hydrating Cream Lipstick shades. I’ve been a fan of Zoya Nail Polish for four years now, but this is the first time I am trying the lip products the brand also offers. Zoya released both Mellie and Candy just in time for the summer season, and both are bright and pigmented shades perfect for the warmer months. Let me share my thoughts on these lipsticks with all of you!

Zoya Hydrating Lipstick Review & Swatches | Mellie & CandyEach lipstick comes in a black cardboard box and then in sleek black packaging. I really like the rounded tube, and the classic look to these lipsticks. The lipsticks do not have a fragrance, but they do have that typical ‘lipstick’ smell. It brought me back to my days of a dancer where we wore bright red lipstick for each performance!

IMG_4335Zoya Mellie | Adventures in PolishlandFirst up is Zoya Mellie, a bright red lipstick. Mellie is extremely pigmented and it does feel very creamy and comfortable on the lips. I do recommend using a lip detailer brush to apply these lipsticks, as I had some difficulty getting a clean application. Mellie is a staining lipstick, which I like because even if it wears off you will still have a nice wash of color on the lips. I have not done a true wear test to see how these lipsticks wear over time, but they felt very nice on my lips.

Zoya Candy | Adventures in PolishlandZoya Candy | Adventures in PolishlandNext up is Candy, a bright pink lipstick that I would call a fuchsia shade. Candy also has a rich pigmentation and glides onto the lips well. I don’t like how it looks with my fair skin tone, but I think it will look amazing if you have a darker complexion. Of course, it is all personal preference! I will say that Candy does tend to make the teeth a bit yellower than they actually are, so keep that in mind. Nonetheless, it is a great summer shade with a nice formula.

All in all, I’m so glad I finally tried the lipsticks offered by Zoya. I really love the formulas and the texture of these lipsticks, and I want to check out the other shades in the range for sure. These lipsticks retail for $12 each on Zoya’s website HERE. I definitely recommend the Hydrating Cream Formulas! Make sure to let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any Zoya lipsticks and which ones you recommend.

My Everyday Makeup featuring MAKE Beauty | Limited Time Coupon Code

Happy Wednesday! Today I am excited to share with you my everyday makeup look, and also review a couple of products from the brand MAKE Beauty. I first tried MAKE Beauty a few years ago through the subscription service Birchbox. I luckily got the opportunity to review some of the brand’s products for all of you, and I was so happy when they arrived because they perfectly fit into my normal makeup routine. This post will provide first impressions reviews of the MAKE Beauty Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster and the Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy, and then conclude with an overall look at my full makeup. Make sure to stay tuned to the end of this post where I will share a coupon code for MAKE Beauty with all of you!

My Everyday Makeup featuring MAKE Beauty!

Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster [BUY]

MAKE Beauty Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster
MAKE Beauty Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster

First up is the Matte Finish Eyeshadow in Alabaster. I’ve swatched Alabaster on my hand, but you probably will have a hard time seeing it because it is my exact skin tone! I was so excited to discover that, because I don’t like to wear eyeshadow on a daily basis. However, I do have quite veiny eyelids, so I often use an eye primer just to cancel out the discoloration. Alabaster works perfectly to fully cover up my veiny lids. It is smooth, pigmented, and wears very nicely throughout the day. This eyeshadow formula also contains Vitamins C and E to help provide anti-oxidant protection to the eye area, and I think it does a great job because I didn’t experience any irritation. I’m in love with Alabaster!

Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy [BUY]

MAKE Beauty Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy
MAKE Beauty Silk Cream Lipstick in Taffy

Next up is the Silk Cream Lipstick in the shade Taffy, a medium pink with purple undertones. Taffy just happens to be a ‘my lips but better’ shade. I couldn’t believe how well this fit my complexion! I also like how Taffy applies smoothy, and feels nice on the lips. I’ve had really dry lips lately, but Taffy still applied nicely and wore well throughout the day. Taffy did not add any moisture to my lips, but it also didn’t feel drying. I know I will be reaching for this lipstick often!
