Fall Fashion featuring Beautiful-Scarves.com | Dressy Casual Day Outfit

Happy Tuesday! Fall officially beings tomorrow on September 23, so I thought today would be a good time to share one of my go-to fall outfits with all of you. I really enjoy wearing casual clothing, but I still like to look polished (pun intended). Plus, fall is the perfect opportunity to start breaking out the jackets and scarves! I received a new scarf from Beautiful-Scarves.com to review for all of you, so I figured I would share my entire fashion look. Let me show you the dressy casual fall outfit I styled!

The scarf you see in this blog post was sent to me for review from Beautiful-Scarves.com. It is an on-trend black, grey, and white checkered pattern, and is made out of a super soft material. I love how the scarf feels, and it is very warm as well. I wish the scarf were longer, because I really love oversize scarves. However, I can wear it as shown in the pictures, or by tying the ends together and looping it in an infinity design. Plus, this scarf can be worn with practically any outfit, and is unisex. I also love the $11.99 price tag! I was really impressed when the scarf arrived carefully packaged in this gift box, too.

I also wanted to feature the sneakers that I’m wearing in this post. I made my first purchase from Sole Society this month, and I am beyond impressed. I hope you enjoyed taking a look at what a typical outfit is for me! I never want to sacrifice my comfort, so I always choose pieces that look a notch dressier than they really are. Jet Away June | My Go-To Airport Outfit

Happy Monday! I’m back with another Jet Away June post! Today I thought I would share with you what I like to wear whenever I fly. Like most people, I don’t think one needs to look like a supermodel when traveling. With airport security and long hours stuck in a tiny airplane seat, comfort is definitely key. At the same time, I feel my best when I’m somewhat put together, so there are no pajamas and sweatpants for this girl! Let me go ahead and share my airport fashion tips with all of you!

SHOES

Sperry Top-Sider Boat Shoe in Linen/Gold Camo [BUY]

Shoes are probably the most important part of your airport outfit! Because they need to be removed when going through security, I always wear something that easily slips on and off. Many people wear flip flops or sandals, but I hate the thought of my bare feet touching the airport floor, so I wear shoes that allow me to wear socks as well. I’m a huge Sperry fan. Not only are they super comfortable, but they come in many styles and colors. I wear mine to the airport with socks, and they take off my socks later.

Helpful Tip: If you’re traveling during winter, wear your boots on the plane. It will save you a lot of room in your suitcase!

PANTS

Delias Taylor Super Skinny Jeans [BUY]

Some people are most comfortable in yoga pants or leggings, but I love my jeans! I find jeans so comfortable, especially a good pair of skinnies. Plus, they are durable and can be worn multiple times during your trip. I love the Taylor style from Delias, but my other favorite stores to buy jeans are American Eagle and Express. I’m always scanning the sale racks for a great pair of Express jeans!

When traveling, I always like to dress in layers. For my top, I like to wear a t-shirt with some sort of design on it. Whether it’s a graphic tee, or a comfortable blouse, I stick to short sleeves. Then, I always wear a cardigan in case I get cold. I find that airplanes are always chilly inside, so layers are a must. I own a few black cardigans, and always bring one with me since black goes with almost everything.

Here I am in my go-to airport outfit! As you can see, it is very casual and comfortable, but I still feel put together. I chose a flowy top that isn’t constricting, and you may notice I’m not wearing any jewelry whatsoever. I find it best to leave the accessories in my luggage until I arrive at my destination so I don’t lose anything on the plane. Of course, if you wear a wedding ring or another piece of sentimental jewelry at all times you can choose to leave that on throughout your trip!

Deck Your Legs with Duane Reade Hosiery this Holiday! #DRPartyLegs

CB-sponsored-post-black-600 Happy Wednesday! Today I’m excited to share with you some fashion looks for upcoming holiday parties. Up until now you’ve been rushing around buying gifts, decorating, and not spending one moment to yourself. If you’re in need of some last minute outfit ideas, I’ve got you covered! Back in October, I discovered that Duane Reade sells an amazing line of tights. If you’re a girl on the go much like myself, stop by your local DR Hosiery department and grab some tights! Let me show you the outfits I put together for the holidays!

Before I headed to the store, I rummaged through my closet to find some outfit inspiration. When I had a couple dresses picked out, I knew that I wanted some heavy tights and something a bit more fancy. As always, Duane Reade was stocked up with all different kinds of tights from which I could choose. Just look at the hosiery department! (Don’t mind the boxes on the right, my store is remodeling!).

Outfit 1 – Office Party

First up is an outfit that I created with an office holiday party in mind. I began with a maroon dress that has faux leather detailing, added some black pumps, and, of course, some DR Legwear! In this look, my tights are a thick, ribbed material. It’s difficult to tell from the photographs, but they are quite textured and warm. I would say they are one step away from leggings. To finish off the look, I grabbed a simple, black blazer from my closet as well. I always err on the conservative side when it comes to fancier events, and in the winter it’s always safe to dress in layers!

Outfit 2 – Cute and Casual

If you’re more of a cute and casual girl like me, this second outfit may be more your style. I began with grabbing a purple dress and black cardigan, and then added on some super cute bow and polka dot tights! I am obsessed with how adorable these tights are, and I think they can dress up any outfit. I also showed this look with both boots and flats – comfortable footwear that still looks put together. If you’re worried about the cold in this outfit, wear a pair of opaque tan tights underneath the patterned ones. No one will know your little secret!

Back to School Week | Cute & Casual School Outfits

Happy Wednesday! Today’s post is a first on Adventures in Polishland — fashion! One of the best parts of going back to school each year is putting together some cute, new outfits. Whether you’re going on a shopping spree, or searching through your closets, they key to the perfect school ensemble is feeling comfortable and looking great, too. I usually keep it pretty casual at school since I’m there to learn above everything else. Let me show you a couple outfits I plan on wearing this fall, plus some of my favorite clothing stores and back to school must haves!

First up is my go-to look — jeans and a t-shirt! Whether you’re in middle school, or law school like I am, you can never go wrong with the basics. To liven my outfit up a bit, I chose a feminine floral top, and added a necklace. I’ll share the product details below.
