Sephora X Pyrotechnic with Gold Nail Stickers

Happy Thursday! Today I have a quick review of the new Sephora X polish that I got as a Beauty Insider Perk the last time I shopped at Sephora (see that haul HERE). I haven’t tried any of the Sephora X polishes yet, so I was really happy to be able to try out one of them without making an actual purchase. Let me show you the manicure I created with Pyrotechnic!

IMG_3467 IMG_3468Pyrotechnic is a bright red creme polish. It is opaque in two coats, and has an amazing formula! Pyrotechnic dries to a glossy finish, so I didn’t even apply top coat. If you are looking for a true red polish, I highly recommend it. In fact, Sephora even places Pyrotechnic in its New Classics collection since it is such a staple color!

IMG_3477To add a bit of flair to my manicure, I reached for some 3D Gold Stickers from Born Pretty Store. The bright red of Pyrotechnic reminded me of a king, so I had to add a crown and another golden accent. I love the way it turned out! To see a complete review of these stickers, see THIS blog post.

All in all, I’m impressed with Pyrotechnic. It’s a great polish, and I definitely want to try out more from the Sephora X line. You can purchase this polish for $10.50 on Sephora’s website HERE. While it’s a bit out of my normal price range, I may splurge on a few in the future. Let  me know if you’ve tried any Sephora X polishes in the comments!

Gold Square Studs from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Friday! Now that fall is in full swing, I just love making sure my nails are following the season’s trends. Just like with fashion, I keep my nails fabulous and affordable, so I was too excited to try out some gold studs from Born Pretty Store. Let me show you how the look I created!

IMG_3086First I started out with an on-trend color for fall, RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer in Hedge Fund. You can see a full review of this polish HERE.

IMG_3090 IMG_3091I let my base color dry until it got tacky, and then got to work placing the studs. I used a pair of long-nosed tweezers (similar to THESE ones) so that I would have more control. Then, I simply placed one stud at the base of each nail, and for an accent I placed four in a diamond shape. Gently press the studs down and seal with a top coat to ensure they’ll stay in place, and you’re good to go!

IMG_3094All in all, I’m loving my manicure! The army green and gold colors go great together, and this nail art look was so easy to complete. You can purchase these gold studs on Born Pretty Store’s website HERE. For just $5.84 you get a bag of these studs, so you can create lots of different manicures. Don’t forget you can get an extra 10% off with coupon code FZL91, and every order gets free international shipping. I can’t wait to use these studs again soon!

3D Bow Rhinestones from Born Pretty Store

Happy Thursday! I usually keep my manicures pretty simple, but every once in a while I like to dress up my nails. I was so excited when I received some bow rhinestones in the mail from Born Pretty Store. I think bows are so cute and girly, and couldn’t wait to add some flair to my manicure. Let me show you my fancy nails!

IMG_3002 IMG_3004How awesome are these bows?! I knew I wanted a really feminine look, so I chose one of my favorite pinks of all time for the base color – L’Oreal’s Check Me Out. Then I let my nail polish dry a little bit before applying the rhinestones because I wanted the polish to be tacky, but at the same time I didn’t want to smudge my manicure. Once I was sure the polish was partly dry, I carefully placed the bows on my nails and pressed them down. And it was as simple as that! The rhinestones stayed secure and I love the result!

IMG_3007

One of the reasons I love these bows so much is because they come in an arched design that fits the nails perfectly. This is something new for me, as other nail rhinestones I’ve tried have always been flat on the bottom, and thus didn’t fit my nails properly. It is so great that these bows are designed this way, I can’t stress that enough!

All in all, I am loving these bow rhinestones from Born Pretty Store! If you are looking to glam up your manicure, I highly suggest these. Plus, you can grab a pack of 10 bows for just $5.99 HERE. These rhinestones can easily be reused, so this is definitely a great value. For those who may not be as adventurous in nail art, these bow are a great option. As always, you can get an extra 10% off with coupon code FZL91 and there is free international shipping with every order. Happy Shopping!

Candy Color Nail Polish from Born Pretty Store

Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and didn’t mind that I took a few days off from blogging. Today I’m back with a review of a nail polish from Born Pretty Store, my favorite online retailer for all things nail art (and so much more!). Recently Born Pretty came out with a line of nail polishes that remind me of indies, and I couldn’t wait to try them! While I love supporting small businesses, sometimes my bank account would be much happier with an indie dupe. Let me show you a polish I tried out from Born Pretty’s Candy Color line!

IMG_2964 IMG_2968

Here is Candy Color Polish in Number 17 (Born Pretty doesn’t have polish names, just numbers!). The first thing I noticed was that the bottle I received looks nothing like the picture on the website — it is a different shape and brand name. Yet the polish color looks the same and that’s all that matters!

This polish is a milky yellow base filled with red and gold hexagonal glitters and fine gold glitters. It applied very well, with glitters easily laying flat on the nail without any special effort. I applied three coats to achieve opacity, but this could be layered over another color as well. I was rather impressed with the formula, and I actually like the color combination. This is a really unique polish!

All in all, I am really liking the Candy Color Nail Polish from Born Pretty Store. This line contains 10 polishes, each of which is just like an indie nail polish. The best part is, these polishes retail for just $4.36 each, or $38.80 for the entire, 10-piece collection. You can purchase this fabulous and affordable polish HERE and don’t forget to use coupon code FZL91 to get an additional 10% off your purchase. As always, Born Pretty Store offers free international shipping. Let me know if you have tried any Candy Color shades!

King of Pop Manicure featuring Water Decals from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Saturday! Today I am so excited to share with you another review featuring a fabulous and affordable item from Born Pretty Store. So far I’ve tried rhinestones, nail stickers, and Hello Kitty decals, but I was the most nervous to try out some water decals. Once I got the courage to try them out, I was so glad I did! Let me show you these decals and the fun manicure I created.

IMG_2529 IMG_2530First up is the sheet of water decals. As you can see, there are a lot of different designs so you can create any type of nail art look you want. Since I love Michael Jackson, I just had to feature him on my nails. How cool is it that he is on this sheet?! I decided to create a King of Pop manicure!

IMG_2521Step one to using the water decals is to paint your nails. You can use any polish, but I decided to use Wet ‘n Wild Megalast in On a Trip. Make sure your polish is 100% dry before you begin to apply the decals. Next, you will need a scissors and a cup of water. These water decals work just like temporary tattoos. Simply cut out the design you want, remove the protective film, and dunk the decal into the water for 10-20 seconds. Then, place the decal on your nail and gently press down to transfer the design. And that’s it!

IMG_2532Now even though that sounds easy, keep in mind it will take a bit of practice. As you can see, I completely smudged the decal on my first try because I applied top coat too soon. Before you finish out your manicure with a top coat, let the decals dry!

IMG_2533After some practice, I got the hang of the decals. Here is my completed King of Pop manicure! Along with the Michael Jackson design, I had to add a crown and some diamonds. As you can see, my crown is a bit lopsided. Make sure you line up the decal on your nail before you press down. I also find that, unlike temporary tattoos, the decals come off easily when you slide them over your nails instead of holding them face down for a few seconds. Even with the imperfections, I’m still loving the result!

IMG_2535All in all, I’m so glad I tried out these water decals! While they do take a bit of trial and error, you will end up with a super cool manicure. The best part is this sheet retails for just $4.73 at Born Pretty Store HERE! Think of the dozens of manicures you can create with just this one sheet! Plus, you can grab an extra 10% off with the coupon code FZL91. As always, Born Pretty offers free international shipping. Be sure to let me know what you think of my King of Pop manicure in the comments!

3D Heart Rhinestones from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Friday! If you love to add bling to your nails, then today’s review is perfect for you! Born Pretty Store, the best place for affordable nail art supplies online, recently came out with some new 3D heart rhinestones in twelve stunning colors! I put some of these to the test, and I can’t wait to share the fancy manicure I created!

IMG_2007

First off, here is a quick picture of the set of rhinestones as you receive them. They come in a cute wheel that is separated by color and is very easy to store in your nail polish collection. This set comes with twenty-four rhinestones total, with two of each color. I love this wheel because it ensures that the rhinestones don’t get lost anywhere, but I can still see the available colors through the clear plastic.

IMG_2009 IMG_2011

I decided to choose two of the rhinestones for my manicure as double accent nails! Since I was wearing Zoya Bobbi, I chose a light pink and a light purple to act as complimentary colors. To apply the rhinestones, simply press them onto your nails before your nail polish has dried completely and finish up with a top coat. The rhinestones stuck on my nails rather well, but you can always use a bit of nail glue to ensure they don’t fall off if you wish. Another great thing about these 3D rhinestones is that they can be reused! They don’t get ruined upon removal, and can thus be applied for more than one fancy manicure!

All in all, these heart rhinestones are super cute and very easy to apply. I am not one to have bling on my nails all the time, but these are great for an accent nail or a special occasion! Plus, since there are twelve different colors, you can pair the rhinestones with many different nail polishes. This set of rhinestones retails for just $4.14 HERE, and as always Born Pretty Store offers free international shipping. You can also get 10% off of your order with the discount code FZL91. Gold 3D Nail Stickers from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Wednesday! Today I am excited to share with you some more nail art supplies from the online retailer Born Pretty Store. Back in March I tried out some Hello Kitty nail art stickers (see that post HERE), and loved them. Now I have a similar product that I think is something anyone can wear and enjoy! Let me show you these gold nail stickers!

IMG_1653

Above is what the sheet of nail art stickers looks like! As you can see, you get an amazing variety of designs to choose from. I love that there are bows, hearts, flowers, crowns, and even teddy bears! At the same time, there are frames and other decorative stickers as well. All of the stickers are gold toned, and since they do have a slight thickness to them, they give a cool 3D effect on the nail. I decided to try out a few of the designs for one fun manicure!

IMG_1655 IMG_1658

Here is my manicure using the gold stickers! First, start with a regular manicure in any color of your choosing. I happened to still be wearing LVX in Virdian, and I thought the emerald green would nicely compliment the gold. If you are starting with a freshly painted manicure, make sure to let your base color dry completely before applying the stickers. You don’t want any smudges! When you are ready to apply the stickers, simply choose the design you like and carefully peel it off the sheet. This can be a little tricky, especially for the smaller stickers. If you like, use a pair of tweezers to gently grasp the sticker. Next, place the sticker on your nail and gently press down. Follow up with two layers of top coat to even everything out, and you are done! Voila! A fancy manicure that was quick and easy to create!

IMG_1659

While using these stickers I did come across a few things that I wanted to share with all of you. First, don’t get discouraged if the stickers rip or break when you are trying to apply them. They are a bit difficult to get the hang of, but once you have tried one or two you will get a feel for how to handle them. Second, do not skip out on the top coat! I experimented and I woke up the next day with the gold tone completely rubbed off! The top coat helps to seal in the gold color, as well as ensure the stickers stay put.

All in all, I am seriously loving these! They are so easy to apply, and the designs are perfect for accent nails, or even a fancy manicure like the one I created here! The best part is, this sheet of stickers retails for just $4.51! Plus, with my discount code of FZL91 you can get an additional 10% off. As always, shipping is free internationally with Born Pretty Store. You can purchase these gold 3D nail stickers by clicking HERE.

Hello Kitty Nail Art Stickers from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Friday! Today I have another review of a product from the online retailer Born Pretty Store. While I was not impressed with the Sweet Color nail polish (see that review HERE), I am loving these adorable nail art stickers! As a lifelong Hello Kitty fan, I was super excited that I got the opportunity to review these stickers for you. I hope you love them as much as I do!

IMG_1188 IMG_1189

Above you can see the nail art sheet as it comes. I love these stickers because they are glittery and have different sizes and shapes! This sheet retails for $5.23, but if you buy more than one you get a discount. As always, there is free international shipping from Born Pretty Store! I chose the sticker sheet in number XF314, but they come in a variety of designs. You can see all of the choices on the Born Pretty website HERE!

IMG_1191 IMG_1193

I was so impressed with how easy it is to apply these stickers! First, I painted my nails with Zoya Blu from the lovely collection (see that review HERE). Once my manicure was completely dry, I chose the stickers I wanted to apply, and carefully peeled them off the sheet and put them on my nails. I pressed each sticker down firmly, and then layered top coat over them. And that’s all there is to it! The smaller stickers are a bit tricky to handle, but I used a pair of tweezers to steady my hand. I can’t get over how much I love these stickers! I chose to wear one on each finger for this manicure, but you can use them easily for an accent nail as well. I love that just one sheet of stickers can be used for multiple manicures, and you can mix and match the designs!

All in all, I’m so happy I tried these Hello Kitty stickers! They are so easy to apply, and are perfect for someone like me who prefers not to do her own nail art. This design is also perfect for spring, but there are so many to choose from on the Born Pretty Store website. If you are looking for some great nail art supplies, be sure to head on over and see everything Born Pretty has to offer! Use the coupon code FZL91 to get 10% off your order as well! Happy Shopping!

Sweet Color Nail Polish from Born Pretty Store!

Happy Saturday! Today I have a polish from the online retailer Born Pretty Store to show you! Born Pretty Store is one of the best places to find affordable nail polish, nail art tools, and much more online. Shipping is always free, and you can save an additional 10% with the coupon code at the end of this post. One of the nail polish lines the site offers is Sweet Color, an eco-friendly polish that comes in the cutest packaging! I knew I wanted to give it a try.

IMG_1024 IMG_1025 IMG_1026

Here is Sweet Color in number 337. The polish does not have a color name, but I would call it a dusty mint green with a creme finish. This polish has a tricky formula — it’s streaky and sheer, and takes three coats to be opaque. Luckily it has a gorgeous color payoff! This polish is perfect for spring. At first I thought that the result was worth the troublesome formula, but I got multiple chips and dents in my nails just hours after application. Needless to say I’m quite disappointed with this polish. The good news is this is only one polish in the Sweet Color line, so I’m hoping this is the one dud! I can’t be sure without trying more of them. Let me know if you have tried any polishes from this line!

All in all, I was disappointed with this nail polish from the Born Pretty Store. Stay tuned for another review in the coming week where I will have some nail art stickers to show you! Also, make sure to check out all of the great products Born Pretty Store has to offer. The prices are great, plus use code FZL91 for 10% off your purchase!
