Zoya Ultra PixieDust Collection for Fall 2014

Happy Wednesday! Zoya Nail Polish has done it again, and came out with an incredible trio of textured matte glitter polishes for fall. The Ultra PixieDust line has three red-toned shades perfect for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. You can see full reviews of all the past Zoya PixieDust Collections HERE, but let me go ahead and show you the new goodies!

Zoya – Oswin Zoya – OswinFirst up is Oswin, a true red shade packed with chunky red glitters. Oswin has a great formula that is opaque in two coats. Make sure that you let each coat dry completely with these polishes to get the perfect textured finish. I found that Oswin lightened up a bit when dry, but I like the added dimension between the base and glitters. I don’t like such a bright red with my skin tone, but if you have a darker complexion it would look beautiful!

Zoya – Arianna Zoya – Arianna Next up is Arianna, a deeper red polish with a blue undertone. Arianna is also opaque in two coats, and I found that the finished product matches the bottle’s shade a bit more than Oswin does. If you enjoy wine shades, Arianna is perfect for you. Plus, this polish can work right through the holidays.

Zoya – Noir Zoya – NoirLast but not least is Noir, my favorite of the three! Noir is a stunning purple shade that is opaque in two coats. I found Noir to be the sparkliest of the bunch, as the glitter stood out even when the polish was completely dry. If you have very fair skin like I do, Noir is a great polish for you!

All in all, the Zoya Ultra PixieDust line is a fun bunch of polishes. I can guarantee you have nothing else like these in your collection! Zoya really creates a unique formula with these chunky glitters that dry matte, but each applies so smoothly and easily to the nail. You can purchase the Ultra PixieDusts on Zoya’s website HERE for $10 each. Buy them separately, or as a trio! Make sure to let me know in the comments which is your favorite as well.

L’Oreal Paris Miss Denim Limited Edition Collection | Distressed Turquoise and Jean & Tonic

Happy Monday! I was recently perusing the limited edition displays at Duane Reade and found the Miss Denim Collection by L’Oreal Paris. I absolutely love L’Oreal polishes, so when I saw some gorgeous textured creams, I knew I had to grab a couple. I decided to grab two of the pastel shades to add to my collection.

L'Oreal – Distressed Turquoise L'Oreal – Distressed Turquoise First up is Distressed Turquoise, a sky blue polish. I applied two coats to achieve opacity, and I am loving the formula! It dries amazingly fast and glides on with ease. I wore Distressed Turquoise for a few days, but did experience chipping on the second day of wear. I was a bit disappointed with that, but the good thing with textured polish is you can always add another coat and it still looks great!

L'Oreal – Jean & Tonic L'Oreal – Jean & TonicI also picked up Jean & Tonic, a deep seafoam shade that looks a bit more turquoise to me than Distressed Turquoise! Jean & Tonic also has a flawless formula that is opaque in two coats. It is more long-lasting, and I wore it for about 3-4 days before I experienced any wear. I do recommend a healthy layer of base coat with this polish, as it can stain if you don’t protect your nails. I’ve already worn this polish a few times this past month!

All in all, I am really loving the Miss Denim Collection from L’Oreal Paris! Not only do they have a great application, but they come off easily with a regular nail polish removal process – no foil needed! These polishes range from $4.99-6.49 at your local drugstore, so make sure to be on the hunt for them this summer. You don’t want to miss out on these limited edition shades if you love textured polish as much as I do!

JulieG Frosted Gumdrops in Blueberry Fizz and Crushed Candy

Happy Thursday! As you may know, I am absolutely loving the textured nail polish trend that is sweeping nail nation this season! I was so excited a couple months back when Groupon offered the entire JulieG Frosted Gumdrops Collection for just $12.99. I made sure to grab it for that fabulous price. I’ve loved the two I’ve tried from the collection so far, so I thought I would share them with you today!

IMG_1764 IMG_1768First up is Blueberry Fizz, a blue polish with specks of silver glitter. Blueberry Fizz is opaque in two coats, and has a great formula. I definitely recommend waiting for each coat to dry completely before applying another — you don’t want to drag this textured polish! As far as color goes, I love this shade of blue. It’s very close to being metallic without being too harsh of a tone. I would definitely wear Blueberry Fizz into the winter months as well as the summer!

IMG_1913 IMG_1916Next is Crushed Candy, a purple polish that also has silver glitter mixed throughout. Crushed Candy is the perfect color — it can be worn to the office, and for a girl’s night out. Plus, it has the same great formula of Blueberry Fizz and is opaque in two coats. I wore Crushed Candy for about a week this summer, and I didn’t want to take it off.

All in all, I am loving the JulieG Frosted Gumdrops Collection! I can’t wait to try out the other colors sometime soon. You can purchase JulieG polishes at your local Rite Aid store, or on Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics’ website HERE. JulieG retails for just $3.99 each! You can also grab some amazing deals on Groupon by joining HERE for free. I’ve been so impressed with the beauty deals in the Groupon Goods section lately! Let me know what you think of JulieG polishes in the comments!
